Status report by Marco Arredondo P.E., Inc., Utility Rate and Energy Consultant for Webb County to provide pricing options on kwh rates quoted by electric providers with Discussion and possible action to authorize an energy contract for supply of electricity to Webb County with selected electric provider and selected kwh rates pursuant to Sections 271.101 and 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code, Cooperative Purchasing Programs; and any other matters incident thereto. 
 
Issue: The existing electric provider contract will expire at the end of the fiscal year.  Recently, kwh rates have dropped slightly, and our energy consultant is recommending to lock in kwh rates at the recommended terms based on projected increases in kwh rates in the coming years. 
 
Solution: Consideration to approve a new energy contract for supply of electricity with the selected electric provider who will provide best value kwh rates for the selected term.
 
Result: If approved, a new energy contract for supply of electricity will be executed as per terms and rates authorized by Webb County Commissioners Court.
