Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit Request for Qualifications for a Physician to provide mental health services to Webb County inmates for a contractual period ending September 30, 2025, and one additional option to extend for one (1) year ending September 30, 2026, pursuant to the Professional Services Act and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The Webb County Sheriff’s Office is requesting, for the Court’s consideration, to hire a licensed physician to provide mental health services to incarcerated individuals at the Webb County Jail.
Solution: Consideration to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit Statement of Qualifications from physicians interested in providing the requested services.
Result: If approved, a formal solicitation will be advertised for the scope of services requested by the Webb County Sheriff’s Office.
