Discussion and possible action to enter into an Engineering Services contract with Top Site Civil Group for civil engineering services for the Webb County Youth Village Adolescent Rehabilitation Center building in an amount not to exceed Twenty Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars ($20,900.00) and any matters incident thereto; authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. Solution: Hire a civil engineering firm for engineering work for the provision of propane gas to the building. Also, civil engineering firm will address any ADA compliance issues that may arise regarding the building and its parking.
Result: Provide propane gas to the existing building so Meals on Wheels Program is able to operate its commercial ovens. Also, any ADA issues with the building will be addressed.
Issue: Due to office space demands, Community Action Agency is in the process of relocating its Social Services and Meals on Wheels Programs to the Webb County Youth Village Adolescent Rehabilitation Center building. The commercial ovens to cook meals for the Meals on Wheels Program require gas which is unavailable in the building. Also, given the Social Services Program will also be re-located, building accessibility and parking issues may need to be addressed.
