Discussion and possible action to amend the Planning Department’s plat application fees to incorporate separate driveway development fees. Proposed driveways need to be reviewed by the Webb County Road & Bridge, Engineering, Fire Marshal and Planning Departments for compliance with applicable development regulations affecting County roads and emergency access.  A permit fee of $50.00 for residential/agricultural and $150.00 for commercial/industrial is proposed for driveways that lead to a County maintained road.
 
Issue: Increased residential and commercial development in Webb County has resulted in a need for a higher coordinated review process by the different County departments with jurisdiction over development in Webb County.
 
Solution: Authorizing an amendment to the subdivision plat application will allow for better coordination with County departments and streamline the development/approval process.
 
Result: If approved, the development/approval process will be more efficient.
