Discussion and possible action to authorize the purchase of four (4) APX-8000 Mobile radios including programming and installation for a total amount not to exceed $34,894.64 from Motorola (Contract No. 17724-HGAC (TX)-RA05-21) for the Webb Cty. Con. Pct. 4 office and in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; Sub-Chapter F. Cooperative Purchasing Program, 271.101, 271.102 (Cooperative Purchasing Program Participation) and any other matters incident thereto. [Operation Stone Garden (OPSG) #2465-3170-001-470000 (Capital Outlay)]
Issue: Grant funding has been reallocated to Webb County for the purpose of purchasing additional mobile radios to enhance law enforcement communications.
Solution: Consideration to authorize grant funded equipment for law enforcement use. Motorola has a cooperative contract with HGAC, meeting all competitve bidding requirements of the State of Texas.
Result: If approved, proceed with order. The estimated time of delivery is 60 days or less.
