Discussion and possible action to approve and pass a resolution regarding various compliance matters required by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, Self-Help Center Contract #CSH24-0168 and authorizing the Webb County Judge to sign all relevant documents.  All grant documents were sent for review through the Economic Development Department and this solicitation is compliant with the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) Procedures. This agenda item concerns compliance with state grant regulations; and, thus, there is no financial impact to the Webb County budget.

Issue: Civil Rights and other compliance requirements must be implemented by Webb County in order to comply with grant funding agency program requirements.

Solution: Civil Rights, Citizen Participation, Planned Grievance Procedures, Section 3 Policy, Excessive Force Policy, Section 504 Policy, Limited English Proficiency and Fair Housing Policies must be implemented.

Result: The Self-Help Center Program will be in compliance with funding agency requirements.

Webb County received a grant award in the amount of one million dollars for the Self-Help Center Program.   

Commissioner's Court approved the acceptance of the Self-Help Center Contract # CSH24-0168 from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) for the amount of one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) on February 24, 2025; Item # 7a.
