Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement between Webb County and National Purchasing Partners (NPPGov) for the purpose of utilizing competitively solicited price agreements awarded by the NPPGOV to participating vendors and any other matters incident thereto. 

Issue: The purpose of this agreement is to facilitate compliance with state bidding requirements, to identify qualified vendors of commodities, goods and services, to conserve and leverage resources, and to improve the efficiency and economy of the procurement process. 

Solution: Allowing Webb County to become a participating member of NPPGov will provide access to all awarded vendors providing goods/services meeting all the competitive bidding requirements of the State of Texas and competitive pricing.   

Result: If approved, Webb County will become members of NPPGov, no member fees are required or obligation to purchase goods and services from their awarded suppliers.

NPPGov is a national cooperative procurement organization offering publicly solicited contracts to government entities in the United States and Canada. The contracts are created through a public solicitation and award process with multiple Lead Public Agencies.
