Discussion and possible action to approve the use of the contingency allowance as stipulated under §4.3 (allowances) under the construction agreement between Webb County and Quantcorp Construction LLC., in an amount not to exceed $6,149.14 to purchase one (1) electric air compressor for ARPA Project No. 0002 - Webb County Southern Fire Station and to further authorize the Webb County Judge to sign any relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The stationary electric Air Compressor (10 hp. 2 stage) is needed to pump air and increase pressure as needed for inflating tires on fire units, brush trucks or ambulances housed at the Fire Station. The air compressor will also be used in various applications such as charging electronic equipment batteries, and supplying air for pneumatic tools.

Solution: Consideration to authorize the use of $6,149.14 from the owner's contingency allowance funds to purchase air compressor.

Result: If approved, the Contractor will be authorized to use the owner's contingency amount as approved by Commissioners Court. No increase or decrease to the original contract sum.
