Discussion and possible action to ratify and make an exception for a one-time credit card charge for an amount not to exceed Seventeen Thousand Ninety-Eight Dollars and Eight Cents ($17,098.08) for the purchase of forty (40) foldable tables and six hundred (600) foldable chairs for the 1848 Event Center and any other matters incident thereto.
Issue: The remaining order of tables and chairs for the 1848 Event Center was impacting the credit limit issued by Sam’s Warehouse and other departments were being impacted in getting goods with a reduced credit limit due to the purchase of tables and chairs.
Solution: Consideration to ratify the use and make an exception to the rule of using the county credit card for this purchase.
Result: The purchase of tables and chairs at a discounted rate from Sam’s Warehouse was completed without affecting other departments to order goods with the available reserved credit limit.
