Discussion and possible action to approve a 12-month agreement (effective September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025) between Webb County for the benefit of the Webb County Court-at-Law II DWI Court Program and Serving Children and Adults in Need (SCAN) in the amount not to exceed Seventy Five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00). The services will allow the DWI Court Program participants to have access to professional substance abuse and mental health services; as listed and approved on the grant application through TX Office of the Governor Specialty Courts Grant Program FY2025 grant 5091201 and authorize the Webb County Judge to sign all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. All required documents were sent for review through Economic Development and the solicitation is compliant with the Webb County single point of contact (SPOC) procedures. [Account #2708-2070-001-432001 (Professional Services)]
 
Issue: Webb County Court-at-Law II DWI Court services provide DWI offenders with community resources, including substance abuse and mental health services. 

Solution: Effectively service DWI Court participants through substance abuse, mental health and other resources provided by SCAN. 

Result: Obtaining the services by SCAN is a key component of grant requirements.

Webb County Court-at-Law II DWI Court has partnered with SCAN since the inception of the court. The award of this TX OOG Specialty Court grant allows the court to expand services and serve more participants.
