Discussion and possible action to approve a 12-month agreement (effective September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025) between Webb County for the benefit of the Webb County Court-at-Law II Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Program and Westcare in the amount not to exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). The services will allow the Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Program participants to have access to life skills training education, recreation, community involvement, motivational seminars and after school programs through site coordinators; as listed and approved on the grant application awarded by TX Office of the Governor Specialty Courts Grant Program FY 2025 grant number 5091601 and authorize the Webb County Judge to sign all relevant documents and any other matters incident thereto. All required documents were sent for review through Economic Development and the solicitation is compliant with the Webb County single point of contact (SPOC) procedures.  [Account #2709-2070-001-432001 (Professional Services)]
 
Issue: Webb County Court-at-Law II will partner with Westcare to offer services to participants. Court will receive referrals from Westcare to treat juvenile offenders. 

Solution: Effectively service area juveniles through Wetcare improve academics, attendance and behavior in school and other resources provided by Westcare while partnering with JDTC. 

Result: Obtaining the services by Westcare is a key component of grant requirements

Webb County Court-at-Law II Juvenile Drug Treatment Court has partnered with Westcare to provide essential services to juvenile participants within the school campuses it services.
