Discussion and possible to adopt by Order, to increase the minimum fund balance from fifteen percent to twenty-five percent for the County Comprehensive Fund Balance Policy.
Issue: The County’s Fund Balance Policy was previously updated on November 26, 2018 with the minimum fund balance at fifteen percent.
Solution: The County is required to disclose within the County annual audit the compliance with Governmental Accounting Standard Board issued Statement No. 54 for the Fund Balance Reporting and Governmental Fund Type Definition.
Result: Adopt by Order the revised minimum fund balance percentage for reporting purposes.
