Discussion and possible action to accept a donation through the Webb County Meals on Wheels Sponsor a Meal Program from La India Packing Company ($400) and proprietors Carlos ($400) and Elsa Arguindegui ($400) for a total amount of One Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($400 x 3 checks=$1,200) as per Texas Local Government Code 81.032 (Acceptance of Donation) for the Webb County Community Action Agency’s Meals on Wheels Program; and any other matters incident thereto. The Webb County Community Action Agency/Meals on Wheels Program currently intends to use these unrestricted funds for the acquisition of needed bulk food; and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The Webb County Community Action Agency (CAA) received three (3) different, individual checks of $400 from La India Parking Company (1) and its two (2) individual proprietors for the total amount of $1,200 ($400 each x 3 checks).

Solution: This donation will provide supplemental but needed funding for the Webb County CAA’s Meals on Wheels Program operations.

Result: The Webb County CAA will be able to utilize these funds for operations in order to continue to serve the needs of the local community and its citizens.
