Discussion and possible action to enter into Work Authorization #1 with Ardurra Group, Inc. for a Phase I Environmental Service Assessment (ESA) for two adjoining properties located at 5102 U.S. 59, a 10.78 acre Vacant Commercial Tract, and Casablanca Ballroom, located at 5064 E. Issue: Webb County is in the process of purchasing the properties identified (AKA Casa Blanca Properties), a Phase I ESA is recommended to ensure that due diligence is conducted to determine if any hazardous substances and/or other contaminants may or may not be present.
 
Solution: Consideration to authorize work authorization #1 with Ardurra Group, Inc., the Phase I ESA will provide information to the Governing Body to make a final determination if the property is safe and suitable for its planned use.
 
Result: If approved, the work authorization will be executed and a Purchase Order for the approved professional services will be issued. The Phase I ESA report will be completed in 25 days from NTP.
