Discussion and possible action to approve the addition of an Emergency Response Aerial Apparatus to the current Fleet Financing Plan with Siddons Martin Emergency Group, LLC, through Pierce Financing Solutions, for the Webb County Fire Department. The aerial apparatus will be designated as a front-line emergency response vehicle and placed on a seven (7) year replacement cycle to ensure operational readiness and minimize maintenance costs; and any other matters incident thereto.
 
Issue: The Webb County Fire Department’s current fleet does not include an aerial apparatus. Due to continued growth within the county and anticipated emergency response demands, the need for an aerial apparatus has become evident. An aerial unit is necessary to enhance firefighting capabilities, improve responder safety, and ensure adequate response to multi-story structures, commercial occupancies, and complex rescue operations.

Solution: To approve the addition of one (1) Emergency Response Aerial Apparatus to the existing Fleet Financing Plan with Siddons Martin Emergency Group, LLC, through Pierce Financing Solutions, and authorize its inclusion as a front-line unit on a seven (7) year replacement cycle.

Result: Recommend approval for the lease program which includes maintenance for emergency response units.
