Discussion and possible action to accept a declaration of public purpose pursuant to Tex. Const. Art. 3 Sec. 52 for the purchase of furniture, equipment and supplies and any other matters incident thereto.
Issue: The Public Health Services Department requests authorization to purchase furniture, equipment, and supplies necessary for the Southern Health Facility, Bruni Health Facility, and Webb County Community Centers as an extension of the services our department provides to the community.
Solution: Authorization by the Commissioners Court is necessary to purchase the items needed.
Result: Authorizing the purchase of furniture, equipment, and supplies will allow the Public Health Services Department to properly equip the Southern Health Facility, Bruni Health Facility, and Webb County Community Centers and ensure it is prepared to provide essential services.
