Discussion and possible action to authorize the Purchasing Agent to solicit a Request for Qualifications for Architectural Services for design development, preparation of construction documents, and construction administration for the proposed project for the construction of a new parking lot and new County building on the approximate 0.28 acre tract(s) of land located at 918 and 920 Houston Street pursuant to the Professional Services Act and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The County-owned properties located at 918 and 920 Houston Street were recently demolished, and additional parking is needed to address existing parking deficiencies, improve public accessibility and safety, ensure ADA compliance, and support continued Webb County operations to include the proposed addition of a new County building. 

Solution: Consideration to advertise an RFQ for the proposed scope of services being requested and as directed by the Webb County Commissioners Court through formal action.  

Result: If approved, the Webb County Purchasing Agent will proceed as instructed by the Webb County Commissioners Court.
