Discussion and possible action to enter into a Water Rights Sales Agreement with La Feria Water District No. 3 for the purchase of 2,500 acre feet of Class “M” municipal priority water rights for three thousand four hundred dollars ($3400.00) per acre foot and further authorizing deposit of escrow fees and any matters incident thereto; authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. [Commit the General Fund’s fund balance in compliance with Government Accounting Standards Board Statement Number 54 (GASB No. 54) and the Texas Local Government Code Sec. 111.070 Expenditure of Funds Under Budget; Emergency Expenditure, for the County’s Capital Improvement Plan - Water Utility Fund acquisition of municipal water rights subject to reimbursement resolution as approved by the Commissioners Court on 12/08/2025.

Commissioners Court previously authorized negotiation for acquisition of up to 5,000 acre feet.
