Discussion and possible action to enter into a Modification of Intergovernmental Service Agreement (IGSA) with Immigration and Customs Enforcement for the Laredo Processing Center IAW 70DCR18DIG000010 extending the current contract period of performance from May 14, 02026 through August 13, 2026 and any matters incident thereto; authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents.
Issue: Representatives of the federal government (I.C.E.) have requested an extension to Intergovernmental Service Agreement (IGSA) with Immigration and Customs Enforcement for the Laredo Processing Center IAW 70DCR18DIG000010. Should this agreement expire, the County will not receive reimbursement for I.C.E. detainees or prisoners held by CoreCivic.
Solution: Enter into extension agreement with Federal Government.
Result: Webb County will to be reimbursed for the detention of I.C.E. prisoners/detainees held at the Laredo Processing Center.
