Discussion and possible action to approve and execute the FY 2026 Federal Application 5339 — Discretionary Transportation Grant from Webb County Community Action Agency to the State of Texas through TGEMS (TxDot website) in the amount of EIGHTY FOUR THOUSAND SIXTY TWO DOLLARS ($84,062.00) acting through Texas Department of Transportation wherein Webb County El Aguila Rural Transit will be approving and executing grant by the desired deadlines, and designating the Webb County Judge as authorized official in all matters pertaining to this grant; and, any other matters incident thereto. This grant does not require a cash match, and thus will have no impact on the General Fund.  All required documentation has been submitted to the Economic Development Department for review and was found to be compliant with Single point of Contact (SPOC) policy. Issue: Rural Public Transit is a grant funded agency.

Solution: Through the approval of court commissioners to approve and execute the application, Webb County will allow the department to receive said funds.

Result: Approval and execution of the grant will ensure the continuation of transportation services to the rural areas of Webb County.
