Discussion and possible action to approve the use of contingency allowance #012 as stipulated under §4.3 (allowances) under the construction agreement between Webb County and Stoddard Enterprises, LLC., in an amount not to exceed $14,993.00 for miscellaneous site & concrete work for the Webb County Dean Senator Judith Zaffirini Justice Center Building Envelope Roof Project and to further authorize the Webb County Judge to sign any relevant documents; and any other matters incident thereto. Issue: The City of Laredo requested that modification be done in order to be in compliance. The existing concrete elevation is sloped towards the building, which causes flooding. It is needed to allow water to drain into the storm drains.

Solution: Consideration to authorize the use of $14,993.00 from the owner's contingency allowance funds. Contractor will reduce approximately 121 square feet of sidewalk. Remove and discard two (2) movable existing bollards. Provide labor and materials to remove two (2) existing concrete car stops then add two (2) “Yellow” concrete car stops and anchor to deck similar to the existing ones. Paint existing bollards with “Safety Yellow” following project specifications.
 
Result: If approved, the contractor will be authorized to use the owner's contingency amount as approved by Commissioners Court. There will be no increase or decrease to the original contract sum.
