Discussion and possible action to authorize the submission of the renewal applications for the following insurance coverages: Cyber Liability, Educators and Employment Liability, General Liability, Auto Liability, Auto Physical Damage Liability, Excess Liability, Pollution Liability, Property, Inland Marine, Historical Property, Terrorism & Sabotage, Crime and Special crime to obtain renewal quotes for the upcoming policy year and to authorize the Webb County Judge to sign any relevant documents and; any matters incident thereto.
Issue: Webb County's Insurance policies are approaching renewal. The insurance carriers require a completed renewal application to provide renewal terms and premium quotes for the next policy year. Submission of the applications does not bind coverage.
Solution: Authorize Risk Management to submit the renewal applications for all coverages listed. Upon receipt of the renewal proposal, Risk Management will present the coverage terms and premium to Commissioners Court for consideration and approval prior to binding coverage.
Result: Allows the County to obtain renewal quotes in a timely manner, evaluate coverage and pricing, and avoid any lapse in insurance coverage.
