Discussion and possible action to clarify a funding source to continue payroll costs (salaries and fringe benefits) of previously-approved grant-funded personnel in the amount of $50,951.00 for the Webb County Regional Veterans Treatment Court Program due to the funding agency extending the grant performance period from 12 months to 14 months without providing additional funds; and any other matters incident thereto. This agenda item will clarify and formally request that the applicable salaries and fringe benefits be paid through an alternative funding source for the remaining months in the current fiscal year in order to bridge the funding gap. Issue: The Texas Veterans Commission extended the performance period from the standard 12 months without providing any additional grant funding to cover expenses for the additional time period. 
 
This item was previously approved by the Webb County Commissioners Court on June 8, 2026 (Item 17) but a funding source was not clearly mentioned or identified.
 
Solution: Clarify the proper account to fund the program for the applicable time frame.
 
Result: Our U.S. veterans in need of court-mandated intervention and assistance will continue to receive services without any interruption.
