Discussion and possible action to approve the purchase of fifteen (15) Axis cameras (various models) for border security operations from EyeP Solutions, Inc. (Buy board Contract #803-26), including mounts and accessories, for an amount not to exceed $61,095.02, and in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code; Section 271.101 & 271.102 (Sub-Chapter F. Cooperative Purchasing Program) with further action to transfer funds from Capital Outlay to Account #1001-3010-001-46015 (Minor Tools & Apparatus) and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #1001-3010-001-470000 (Capital Outlay)]
Issue: The Webb County Sheriff’s Office requires advanced security cameras to enhance situational awareness and threat detection along our border.
Solution: Approve the purchase of the cameras for border security operations.
Result: To provide rapid detection, accurate object identification, long-range visibility, thermal and infrared imaging, real-time alerts, and seamless integration with existing command and control systems to support faster response times, improved coordination, and continuous surveillance even in remote or challenging environments.
