Discussion and possible action to accept the rankings and award Request for Proposals (RFP) 2026-013 “Webb County Fairgrounds – Marketing and Advertising Services” to the highest ranking respondent.  The selected respondent will utilize different marketing, media and advertising plans to promote the 1848 Event Center facility to include, but not limited to, working with 1848 Event Center management to develop strategic marketing programs to further enhance the promotion of annual events and outreach to the community and surrounding counties.  Webb County is seeking a three (3) year service agreement with additional options to extend or as directed by the Webb County Commissioners Court pursuant to the Texas Local Government Code, §262.030 (Alternative Proposal Procedures for Certain Goods and Services) and to further authorize General Counsel to negotiate the terms, conditions and fees and any other matters incident thereto. [Account #1001-1130-001-432001 (General Fund-General Operating Exp-Administration-Professional Services)]

Issue: The Webb County Commissioners Court authorized the Purchasing Agent to secure competitive proposals for the requested services.  Four (4) sealed proposals were submitted by the published deadline.  

Solution: Consideration to accept the rankings and award to the highest ranking respondent as recommended by the Scoring Committee and the Purchasing Agent.  

Result: If approved, General Counsel will negotiate the terms, conditions and fees with the awarded respondent and final execution of the agreement will be subject to approval by the Webb County Commissioners Court by majority vote.

On August 10, 2026, item 20c., the Commissioners Court authorized the Purchasing Agent to advertise a formal Request for Proposal for Marketing Advertising Services for the Webb County fairgrounds Facility.
