Discussion and possible action to accept the grant from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), Contract Number 000158100, for Fiscal Year 2026–2027. This grant is in the amount of Six Hundred Forty-Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-Eight Dollars and Seventy-Four Cents ($649,998.74), for the period beginning October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027. The contract termination date is September 30, 2030 and authorizing the County Judge to sign all relevant documents. This action will have no impact on the General Fund. The contract is being amended to establish the Fiscal Year 2026–2027 budget by adding funding in the amount of Six Hundred Forty-Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-Eight Dollars and Seventy-Four Cents ($649,998.74) for the Home-Delivered Meals Program.
Solution: Accept the grant to the current HHSC contract to provide Home-Delivered Meals to elderly and home-bound residents of Webb County and to authorize the County Judge to sign all relevant documents.
Result: The HHSC contract will provide an estimated 97, 2995 Home Delivered Meals from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027.
