Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on an order declaring an emergency and a grave necessity due to unforeseeable circumstances and approve a budget amendment to acknowledge additional expenditures for the General Fund in the Health District Department:
Background
Per the discussion on August 15, 2017, Williamson County has the opportunity to send additional Intergovernmental Transfer for the Uncompensated Care Program for DY 6. These additional funds are being recommended to be sent in the event that the Medicaid 1115 Waiver is not extended. This will assist in securing funds to compensate the hospitals for the County's Indigent Health program for Fiscal year 2018.
If we are able to send all of these funds up (due to be wired on Sept 7th) we will commit less than is budgeted in FY 2018 for this program.
