Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action to recognize the Williamson County and Cities Health District on their national accreditation and certification.
Background
The WCCHD is now one of only a handful of Texas’ 63 local health departments with dual national awards, as follows:
1. August, 2016 WCCHD became the fourth Local Health Department to receive national accreditation by the Public Health Accreditation Board, and
2. July, 2017 WCCHD received national certification by the National Association of County and City Health Officials as a Project Public Health Ready local health department
