Consider declaring an emergency and approving a budget amendment to acknowledge additional expenditures for various funds and departments as attached.
Background
Due to unprecedented staffing shortages, the Commissioners Court has taken extraordinary steps in funding a 3% mid-year COLA to not only attract job applicants, but also deal with retention issues being felt countywide. While the budget amendment is in an annualized format, the actual prorated spend is estimated to be roughly 69.23% of that amount.
