Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on authorizing the purchasing agent to solicit and receive sealed proposals for Tax Office Payment Processing Services under RFP #22RFP63.

Williamson County is seeking proposals from interested firms for Electronic Payment Processing. The selected vendor will provide the County Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office with a comprehensive program of payment processing services that serve the Tax Office's current and anticipated needs. The County is interested in receiving responses from qualified firms who can provide analysis, technology, and services to efficiently process and reconcile a variety of electronic payments, such as credit cards, debit cards and e-checks. The Williamson County Tax Office collects property tax, motor vehicle sales tax and fees, court costs and other fees for the County. The County intends to coordinate with the selected vendor to provide payment processes to support collection of these fees. The selected vendor is expected to work with the Tax Office and Williamson County Technology Services (“WCTS”) staff to meet the needs of the Tax Office and the customer.  There is no expense to the County for the payment processing services as the customer is responsible for payment processing fees.  Department contact is Matt Johnson.
