Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving annual Liability and Inland Marine Insurance Coverage for Williamson County Hazmat Team (Hazardous Material) from Higginbotham Insurance for the annual premium of $2,726.00.
Background
There are numerous factors indicating that the risks outweigh the benefits of the county being self-insured with regard to Hazmat workers. As a result, the recommendation is to outsource the insurance and accept the coverage quoted for FY22 by Higginbotrham for Hazmat Team workers. Policy details and premium charges are attached.
