Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the Agreement for Tax Table Software Renewal between Vertex, Inc. and Williamson County in the amount of $12,811.00 and exempting the purchase from the competitive bidding requirements for said service established by Texas Local Government Code 262.024 (a)(7)(D) Captive replacement parts and components for equipment.
Background
Approval of this item will support the operations of the Williamson County Auditor's Office. The Vertex Payroll Tax Q Series software feeds data into the Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) based on changes to state and federal tax tables and laws to ensure employees are paid correctly. The Vertex platform has been utilized and integrated into the Oracle platform for many years. This purchase is for the annual service renewal. Service period covers the term of 8/1/2022 through 7/30/2023. Cost for renewal is $12,811.00. The renewal quote is attached. IT, Legal, Contract Audit, and Budget have reviewed this purchase. This expenditure will be charged to FY22 01.0100.0503.004505. Department contact is Julie Kiley.
