Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving a data use agreement between Williamson County and ESO, Inc.

Williamson County EMS is participating in the Patient Outcome Reporting Tool for emergency medical services (PORTAL) research project.  This project aims to understand barriers to evidence-based care for acute coronary syndrome and conduct user-centered design to develop a feedback tool for EMS clinicians.  If approved ESO, Inc. would provide de-identified Williamson County EMS data to Vanderbilt University Medical Center as part of the project.  There is no cost associated with this agreement and Williamson County feels it is in the public interest to assist with research to improve outcomes.  The agreement has been reviewed by Williamson County legal.
