Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the Service Order between Williamson County and Spectrum Enterprise for additional bandwidth for $5,400.00 total per month for five (5) Williamson County office locations (see attached list). This service is exempted under Texas Local Government Code Section 262.024(a)(7)(C) "for a utility service".

The approval of this Service Order will benefit five (5) Williamson County locations with additional bandwidth from 100mbps to 200mbps and alleviate bandwidth issues at these buildings. Networking at these offices is at 100% each day and can spike to 160%. The cost per office is $1,080.00 per month making each month a total of $5,400.00. On 7/12/02022, the Commissioner's approved a 5-year contract with Astound to replace Spectrum for this service and a time frame of 8 to 9 months has been estimated for the change over to take place.  This increased bandwidth will help alleviate the issue in the interim.  IT, Legal, Contract Audit and Budget have reviewed this Service Order.
