Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 8 in the amount of $30,531.08 for Project T4327 Great Oaks Drive Improvements (DeNucci Constructors) P: 270 Funding Source: Road Bond.
Background
This Change Order adds new pay items to reimburse the Contractor for required street signs and pavement markings that were not shown in the original plans. This Change Order also adds an item for a clearance sign that was shown in the plans but had no pay item. In addition, this Change Order adds a pay item to reimburse the Contractor for ground boxes not installed. The original plans called for 18 ground boxes but only 12 were needed. The contractor ordered and received the Type “D” ground boxes prior to changes in the field being made. The Contractor will deliver the 6 additional ground boxes to the Williamson County Maintenance yard. Multiple items will be added by this Change Order. Please see attached Change Order.
This Change Order results in a net increase of $30,531.08 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $10,858,809.72. The original Contract amount was $10,580,634.11. As a result of this and all Change Orders to-date, $278,175.61 has been added to the Contract, resulting in a 2.63% net increase in the overall Contract cost. Zero (0) days will be added to the Contract for this Change Order.
