Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 5 in the amount of $539,623.96 for Project 22IFB141 CR 258 Extension (Joe Bland Construction) P: 277 Funding Source: Road Bond.

This Change Order provides payment to the contractor for additional work requested by Liberty Hill ISD (LHISD). The contractor will widen CR 258 along the eastbound roadway, add a right turn lane with a new entrance to the proposed High School, and will relocate a portion of the Georgetown water line that is located under the proposed High School entrance. LHISD will reimburse the County 100%. Multiple items will be added by this Change Order. Please see attached.
 
This Change Order results in a net increase of $539,623.96 to the Contract amount, for an adjusted Contract total of $6,667,915.51. The original Contract amount was $5,836,754.36. As a result of this and all Change Orders to-date, $831,161.15 has been added to the Contract, resulting in a 14.24% net increase in the overall Contract cost. As a result of this Change Order, thirty-one (31) days will be added to the contract.
