Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the Texas Emergency Management Assistance Teams (“TEMAT”) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Williamson County. The MOU delineates responsibilities and procedures for TEMAT activities, including coordination of mutual aid and resource sharing during disasters.
Background
This Memorandum of Understanding will benefit Williamson County by facilitating increased coordination and resource sharing with the Texas Division of Emergency Management. It provides a framework for Williamson County staff to deploy to other jurisdictions in support of disaster response and recovery and includes processes to ensure the county is fully reimbursed for staff time and resources.
