Consideration and action with respect to the Order Authorizing the Defeasance and Redemption of Certain of the County's Outstanding Debt.
Background
Attached is a copy of the Order and form of Escrow Agreement in association with the Defeasance and Redemption of Certain of the County's Outstanding Debt. The Order authorizes such defeasance and redemption and further authorizes the County Auditor to determine the specific series of debt and specific amounts of debt to redeem, not to exceed $20,000,000, during Fiscal Year 2025, in order to maximize the financial benefits to the County. Bart Fowler of McCall, Parkhurst & Horton will be available in Commissioners Court to answer any questions. This is budgeted by the Debt Service Fund.
