Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving an amendment to the Cooperative Working Agreement with the Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG) for use of the County’s firing range, with the original Cooperative Working Agreement approved on September 26, 2023, under Agenda Item #23.

Approval of the amendment to the Cooperative Working Agreement with the Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG) will extend the use of the County’s firing range through December 31, 2028. The original agreement was approved by the Commissioners Court on September 26, 2023, through August 31, 2025, under Agenda Item #23. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office has agreed to collaborate with CAPCOG/RLEA to support regional law enforcement training by providing meeting space at the Williamson County Firing Range. This amendment will not cost the County anything and requires no funding source as it is grant-supported. The point of contact is Starla Hall.
