Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding approval of the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Data Exchange Request and Safeguard Plan, Contract #2025364 for the Sheriff's Office for a 5-year contract at a cost of $1,500.00 per year, and authorize the execution of the agreement.

This request form is the second step in a multi-layered process. The initial step was the presentation of Exhibit 1, which was approved in court on August 12, 2025. Once Exhibit 1 was approved and executed, a five-year contract was created and is being brought to the Commissioner's Court for consideration. The purpose of the contract will be to provide the Sheriff's Office with access to confidential TWC Agency data. This will allow the Sheriff's Office to use TWC information for the following purposes: to assist in criminal investigations; to assist in locating defendants, witnesses and fugitives in criminal cases; and to assist in locating persons with outstanding warrants.TWC kindly asks that our Commissioner's Court approve and execute this contract before they sign the contract. This contract will be a 5-year contract with a cost of $1,500.00 per year or a total cost of $7,500.00 over the lifetime of the contract. Funding will be 01.0100.0560.004210 for FY25.
