Agenda Item
Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action to authorize the use of Williamson County-owned property at 3751 N. Highway 183, Liberty Hill as a temporary flood-debris management site for contractors removing debris generated by the July flooding.
Background
Contractors are clearing flood debris countywide. The only approved site is east of Georgetown, while much of the debris lies west of Liberty Hill, creating long haul times, higher costs, and delays. Authorizing a second site near the western debris field will cut travel distance, improve efficiency, and speed recovery. Contractors will use about 20 of 150 acres, restore the property after operations, and meet all TCEQ, THC, and other regulatory requirements.
