Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action authorizing Williamson County All District Courts to apply for funding through the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) Program FY2025 local solicitation.

The All District Courts is seeking approval to apply for approximately $815,804.00 Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) department. Funds awarded through this grant will be used to increase accountability for juvenile offenders, respond to the victimization of children and youth, and build protective factors to prevent juvenile violence and delinquency. This grant requires no match.

The required Application for Federal Assistance (SF-424) and Disclosure of Lobbying Form (SF-LLL) are completed online with no physical signatures needed. A copy of both documents are attached for the Courts review. Staff recommends approval to the All District Courts to apply for the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) Program, FY2025 local solicitation and authorize appropriate County department personnel to complete documentation relevant to the implementation of the grant.
