Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on the issuance of a county-wide burn ban for a period not to exceed 90 days and to authorize the Commissioners Court, and/or the County Judge the authority to lift the order banning outdoor burning if conditions improve.
Public Background
Williamson County has seen increased drought conditions throughout the past few weeks. There is minimal rain in the forecast. I recommend that our county goes into a Burn Ban until our area receives an adequate amount of rain to add fuel moisture to the vegetation, and humidity levels increase.
