Public Background
The Atlas 14 Floodplain Mapping Study utilizes updated scientific rainfall data and topography to identify flood-prone areas, including previously unstudied waterways in Williamson County. This information will be used to guide future growth in Williamson County, to develop strategic measures to reduce future flood risks across the county, and as the official rainfall data for drainage and floodplain management in the unincorporated areas of the county.
