Discuss, consider, and take any appropriate action regarding Change Order No. 5 in the amount of $51,199.00 for CR 258, a Road Bond Project in Commissioner Pct. 2.
 

This change order revises various erosion control measures on the project. Soil Retention Blanket was added to the project to promote timely vegetation establishment and to prevent erosion on the long 3:1 slopes along the project.  Flexamat was added to replace the 12” gabion mattresses in the ditch. The use of Flexamat was approved by the Williamson County Road and Bridge Department (R&B) and the Design Engineer. R&B wants to try a new product that is a cost effective alternative to the gabion mattresses for the same applications. The 3' x 3' gabions were deleted from the project due to a change in the grading by the property owner that is downstream of Culvert #2. The downstream property was raised at the right of way line.  The slope will be stabilized with concrete riprap instead of the gabions.
