Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the Capital Area Trauma Regional Advisory Council (CATRAC) Participating Agency Agreement between CATRAC and Williamson County to support the operations of Williamson County EMS.
 

Background

CATRAC has been designated to enhance the ability of healthcare systems to prepare for emergencies and disasters through collaboration with other trauma service areas.  Williamson County EMS agrees to work in cooperation with CATRAC and other members to achieve the healthcare preparedness capabilities and performance measures, participate in planning and exercises, maintain minimum levels of readiness, and participate in preparedness activities.  In exchange CATRAC will provide training, equipment and supplies to enhance preparedness and response readiness.  It is understood that any equipment received or stored by Williamson County would be approved by the Williamson County Commissioner’s Court prior to receiving the equipment.  This agreement has been reviewed by Williamson County legal.
