Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on a Contract Amendment No. 1 to the Great Oaks Bridge at Brushy Creek contract between Williamson County and P.E. Structural Consultants, Inc. relating to the 2013 Road Bond Program. Project: P270 Great Oaks Drive Bridge. Funding Source: Road Bonds.
Background
The increase in compensation cap is to cover additional tasks associated with water quality, drainage and hydraulic design and flood mitigation, redesign of the bridge and retaining walls, evaluation of various bridge designs to determine the most cost effective design, additional environmental assessment due to increased area, evaluation of alternatives to minimize Army Corp of Engineering mitigation and permitting requirements, and to cover construction phase services.
