Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on approving the purchase and delivery of Asphalt Cement for a term of one (1) year provided by written quote(s) where no competitive bids were received, pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Section 262.0225(d) and 262.0245 and County policy.
Background
Williamson County solicited sealed bids for Asphalt Cement under IFB #1804-223 and IFB #1805-233, however, no bids were received each time. Following the bid process, per County policy, Road and Bridge contacted seven (7) vendors and received two (2) quotes. The quotes received were from Martin Asphalt and Cleveland Asphalt. The department point of contact is Matt Williamson. This expenditure will be charged to 01.0200.0210.003550. Funding was approved in the FY2018 Budget.
