Discuss, consider and take appropriate action on approving the contract statement of work from Motorola Solutions, Inc. for the Williamson County Training Lab Proposal. (Note: procurement made pursuant to the Houston-Galveston Area Council HGAC contract #RA05-18).

This contract is supporting the purchase of radio communications equipment to be installed in the Emergency Communications Training Lab.  This equipment will serve as training stations for new employees and will also serve as backup radio dispatch positions during times of high demand and radio system maintenance events.  This will provide the computer interface and accessory equipment necessary to operate as a fully functioning radio dispatch position and will provide the same level of operability as the existing dispatch consoles on the 9-1-1 Operations Floor.  The addition of this radio training equipment was identified as a specific need in the Operational Assessment Report completed by Mission Critical Partners and presented to Commissioners Court in August of this year.  The funding for this project is included in the Capital Improvement Project also under consideration for this year.
