Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action on exempting OPEX Corporation from the competitive bidding requirements established by Section 262.024.(a)(7) of the Texas Local Government Code Discretionary Exemptions, as the sole source provider of warranty and maintenance for existing AS7200 scanner hardware for the Williamson County Tax Office and authorizing the execution of the agreement.

Currently the Tax Office uses the OPEX AS7200 scanner for scanning a large amount of documents. OPEX is the only company authorized to perform maintenance on their product. The Sole Source posting was in BidSync for 14 days with no competitive responses received. The requested Sole Source designation would be applicable for a period of 36 months.  The annual amount of $11,145 is coming from Fund 0100.0499.004500 and was approved in the FY19 Budget.
